Op. Dr. İlsun Aka
Aesthetic, Reconstructive & Plastic Surgery
A brief introduction about me
I was born in Cologne, Germany in 1979. I completed my primary, secondary, and high school education in my hometown of Uşak. In 1997, I began my medical education at Eskişehir Osmangazi University Faculty of Medicine. During my medical school years, I became acquainted with the field of Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgery, a branch I would one day be proud to work in and be a member of, and I worked as a volunteer student. In 2005, I started as an assistant at the 1st Plastic Surgery Clinic of Ankara Numune Training and Research Hospital. In 2011, I graduated from the Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgery Clinic with my thesis entitled "Investigation of the Effectiveness of Quersus Coccifera (Kermes Oak) Plant in the Viability and Wound Treatment of Randomly Patented Skin Flaps in Rats". I completed my mandatory service at Sakarya Training and Research Hospital between 2011 and 2013. In March 2014, I participated in a cadaver study on head and neck aesthetics in Vienna, alongside esteemed plastic surgeons and anatomists from both Turkey and Vienna. After continuing my service at the same institution for another year, I resigned from my civil service position to establish Estemore Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery Clinic, aiming to provide better service to my patients with broader resources. I am a member of the Turkish Society of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery and the EPCD (Esthetic Surgery and Aesthetics Center).
